[The video opens to show Rossiu seated on the bed in a hotel room. He's wearing his usual outfit, completely with stupid poncho and currently has quite a few books spread out before him. They're all incredibly simple and have more pictures than words, but the topic seems to be Eevees and their evolutions. The Pokémon in question is sleeping sprawled on top of some of the books.]

Hello. I have a question for you. I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times before, but what should I evolve my Eevee into?

[Rossiu picks up one of the books, flipping the pages absently as he thinks.]

I already have the following types: Psychic, Ice, Fire, Grass, and Fairy. That leaves Umbreon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon. I suppose I could keep him as an Eevee, but I'm not sure what the advantages to that would be.

[He finally looks back up at the 'Gear, his expression still far too serious for this conversation.]

I'd like to hear about your experiences with Eevees and their evolved forms as well. While I would prefer to evolve him into a type I don't have, I'm not opposed to going with something else.

Oh, and I have another question. Does anyone know why Eevee has so many different evolution choices? I thought all Pokémon had one path of evolution.

Jolteon is definitely the best choice outta those, in my opinion. But I think they're all great n' got their own advantages in one way or another! Sylveon's really cool, too, but you already said you got a Fairy type.

[Jolteon and Sylveon are the only two Eveelutions Jimmy actually owns, but he does like them a lot.]

But I think it's really best to let your Eevee decide! Solstice had a bit of a hard time picking what she wanted to be, but the wait was worth it. She's really happy with what she is, now.

I'll definitely talk to him again once I've decided, but he said he'd be fine with any evolution.

Can you tell me more about Jolteon? What sorts of moves does it learn and what's it like in battle?

Well, Jolteon's the Electric-type! It knows a lot of electric type moves, but it can also learn other ones like Pin Missle and Double Kick. I'd say they're prolly the fastest out of them all, too.

I actually brought my Jolteon, Solstice, to my last gym battle. She was so fast when she attacked that you could barely see her! And she ended up knocking out Whitney's Miltank with no problem at all!

Oh, so they're very fast... That's interesting. I don't have an Electric-type and I'm not sure where to get one, so that might be a good choice. Ah, but I need to get a stone and they don't sell them here in Violet. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind though, thank you!

You're welcome! You can get lots of evolution stones here in Goldenrod at the department store! There's also a lot of electric types out there you could catch, though they're a little tricker to find than others like bug-types and normal-types.

I haven't seen any Electric-types, but maybe my luck isn't very good. I also haven't spent too much time on the routes. Maybe I'll find something on the way to Goldenrod.

I know for sure there are some Electric-types on the routes outside of Goldenrod, at least! Like Shinx or Mareep. Either one of those would be a great Pokemon to have.

Yeah, I get you! This place is actually pretty different from my home, too. I mean...the sky's not blue where I'm from, for one thing. So that was pretty weird.

Ah, really? I didn't get to see much of the sky before I came here, but it was definitely blue.

Yup! We have more suns back home, too. Way more than just one.

Really? It sounds like it would be very warm where you're from.

Oh, it is! It's a looot hotter back home than it is here. And I was really surprised by how cold it gets here, too. Especially with the snow and everything!

[adai]

I definitely understand that. I arrived in February and it was snowing a lot. It was the first time I'd ever seen snow.

[IT WAS A DISASTER who thought it was a good idea to bring him in during the winter??]

I'd only seen snow one other time before coming here! It really doesn't snow at all where I'm from, so it was a surprise, for sure.

[Though...now he's finding himself more and more intrigued by Rossiu's home.]

...what kinds of people live where you're from, if you don't mind me asking?

I don't mind. There's a lot of other humans, but we were forced to live underground by the beastmen. They're... well, half-beast, half-man I guess? I'm not really sure. They're ruled by the Spiral King and they have access to technology far beyond what any human could create. My friends and I journeyed to the surface world and are fighting against the beastmen.

[...wait.]

Ah, I forgot to mention that humans live in civilizations underground. There are some pretty big cities, but I came from a small town with only fifty people in it.

Gosh...I've never heard of anything like that before. I mean, there's demons and stuff back home, but nobody really lives underground. So they're really dangerous, then?

[adai]

Most people here seem to think that's strange. I had never seen houses on the surface before, so I guess I'm from a very different world.

But yes, the beastmen are very dangerous. If you can get them alone they're typically not too difficult to take down, but they often attack in groups which makes it very difficult to predict and counter. Of course, if you don't have a gunman, there's no way to stop them.

Yeah, that's probably the case. I mean, I've never heard of anything like that, but it can't be any weirder than having red skies instead of blue. I'm glad we don't have anything like that here in Johto...but I guess if we did, our Pokemon could help protect us.
